        Post-doctor Research Station for Computer Science & Technology was found.
        Computer Science & Technology gained the certificate for Engineering Education from Ministry of Education, China.

 

2011
       Software Engineering was authorized as first-level doctoral discipline.
       The School of Software merged into the School of Information Science and Technology.

 

2010
       Computer Science & Technology and Control Science & Engineering became first-level doctoral disciplines.

 

2008
       Information & Communications Engineering, Electronics Science & Technology, Control Science & Engineering (joint) became first-level key disciplines of Sichuan Province.
       Computer Application Technology became second-level key discipline of Sichuan Province.

 

2005
       School of Computer and Communications Engineering was renamed School of Information Science and Technology.

 

2004
       Communications and Information Systems became second-level key discipline of Sichuan Province.

 

2003
       Information and Communications Engineering became first-level doctoral discipline.
       Post-doctor Research Station for Information & Communications Engineering was found.

 

2002
       Traffic Information Engineering & Control was authorized as a National Key Discipline.

 

1998
       Traffic Information Engineering & Control was authorized as a doctoral discipline.
       Post-doctor Research Station for Traffic Information Engineering & Control was found.

 

1993
       School of Computer and Communications Engineering was founded.

 

1985
       Computer Science & Engineering department was established.

 

1981
       Computer and Its Applications was authorized as one of the first disciplines in China being able to award master degree.

 

1976-1978
       Two disciplines were re-found, i.e. Automation and Computer Applications.

 

1960
       Three disciplines, i.e. Computing Technology, Automation, and Radio Technology were established.
