报告题目:Multi-pair massive MIMO relaying systems with coarse quantization

摘要:Massive MIMO has been regarded as one of the key enabling techniques for the 5G mobile systems. To expedite the deployment of massive MIMO systems in practical networks, how to reduce the implementation cost is a critical issue to be addressed. One of the promising solutions to overcome the above challenge is to use low-resolution ADCs/DACs at the massive number of RF chains. In this talk, we focus on the multi-pair massive MIMO relaying system, and investigate the impact of coarse quantization due to low-resolution ADCs/DACs on the sum rate performance, with emphasis on the scenario with extremely low cost one-bit ADCs/DACs. In addition, non-linear precoding schemes are proposed to enhance the system performance.


报告人简介:

Dr Caijun Zhong received the B.S. degree in Information Engineering from the Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2004, and the M.S. degree in Information Security in 2006, Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications in 2010, both from University College London, London, UK. From September 2009 to September 2011, he was a research fellow at Queen’s University Belfast, Belfast, UK. Since September 2011, he has been with Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, where he is currently an associate professor. His research interests include massive MIMO systems, wireless powered communications and NOMA. Dr. Zhong is an Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, and Journal of Communications and Networks. He is the recipient of the 2013 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award.
