Yu Zheng, the Lead Researcher in Microsoft Research Asia

Yu Zheng (left), received the PhD degree in Communication and Information Systems in 2003. He is currently the lead researcher in Microsoft Research Asia. In 2013.08, MIT Technology Review published the winners of the remarkable MIT TR35 of 2013. Yu Zheng was awarded as his outstanding performance in the area of Urban Computing. The award was started in 1999, annually naming the world's top 35 innovators under the age of 35 in the fields of IT (computing, communications, and network), biomedicine, business, etc. The winners are highly innovative. Some winners of the award include Jerry Yang (co-founder of Yahoo!), and Linus Torvalds (creator of Linux). The winners in 2013 include 6 ethnic Chinese, only 2 of them come from the Mainland China.
