ZOU Xihua, Ph.D, Associate Professor. Dr Zou received his PhD degree in communications and information system from Southwest Jiaotong University, 2006. He was a visiting researcher and a joint training Ph.D. candidate of the Microwave Photonics Research Laboratory, University of Ottawa, Canada, in July and August of 2011 and in 2007-2008, respectively. He was also a visiting researcher in the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique-Énergie, Matériaux et Télécommunications (INRS-EMT), Canada, in July and August of 2012. He is the recipient of Science & Technology Award for Young Scientist of Sichuan Province (2013), China, New Century Excellent Talents of Ministry of Education (2012), China, and Nomination Award for the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China (2011). He has served as the principle investigator for 2 NSFC projects, and 6 provincial level projects, including for instance the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation project. Listed as the first/corresponding author, he has published over 30 academic papers in refereed journals. Also, he holds 5 granted Chinese patents.
